The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 果然是解压欢乐的动画电影，ost虽然口水，但是搭配剧情确实好听。最后的《out of the world》大型音乐秀，从舞台布景到创意呈现以及歌手演唱都非常的精彩。唯一令人伤感的是这次的梦想追求有点坑蒙拐骗，三观不正。

虽没有银河系漫游指南的精辟幽默，但画面确实很美很酷
故事还行，但是整体呈现不如第一部，也不如第一部那么惊艳了，不过感染力还是很足的。
连着第一部看的，第一感觉是套路太重复：筹备演出-演出受挫-秘密筹备一个没人看好的表演-惊艳所有人。而且第一部里好看的人物成长在第二部里变成了（让人似曾相识的）冒险，总觉得角色也变扁平了，反而是Miss Crawly一下子出彩了。
热门金曲的动物歌舞片我太爱了，但是我一边讨厌反派，可恶的资本家有点钱就不把人民当人看，一边又心疼反派，被一个吹牛的乡下来的骗子骗钱，花大价钱打造的歌舞剧被人家为了证明自己免费播出，被骗了钱还要被人抓进去坐牢，太惨了也是
非常平淡的政治惊悚片，大选使用的手段不过是司空见惯的泼脏水扣帽子，哪来的什么新意，有这时间不如再看一遍1988
我喜欢这个故事，动画设计的舞台舞美也相当赞，可以成为故事中的故事。那个海选被不过的桥段太逗了，整部电影那么多熟悉的欧美歌曲，个人不觉得比第一部差，虽然整个结构都是套路，但是我就是喜欢！好希望国产动画片有一天也能做到如此成熟。

故事太弱了，几乎全都是靠音乐撑下来的。就这么弱的故事，还非要套进一个戏中戏的结构里去，真的是太不明智了。

一些通病还是挺明显的，太过套路化，基本每个角色的成长曲线都是在意料之中，好在歌舞戏还看得下去，不至于沦为一部庸俗的歌舞动画片
太！精！采！了！如果第一部是关于选秀，这部就是如何团队配合演出一场震惊世界的舞台大秀，除了承接上一部表现出鲜明不同性格特征各位主角之外，新加入更加有特色的几位新角色，让整个故事的格局更加开阔，迈上了更高的台阶，将观众对第三部的期待值拉到极限
论情节完整度不如1，转折略生硬，逻辑偏弱。如果不看1，2就是一部平庸的唱歌动画片，看2之前一定要看1！每个人的性格都延续了，实际上他们做了跟1里面一样的事，只是舞台升级换代了。Free show AGAIN！本Sing1骨灰级粉丝一本满意！延续的梗包括但不限于：Moon不淋湿不努力、Moon的自行车、Nana全粉闺房lol、蜥蜴太太的假眼球、Ash的紫色演出服、Meena的耳朵、Rosita的保护欲、Johnny家族老本行终于派上用场惹、升级版鱿鱼舞蹈……遗憾的是Moon的羊基友木有出场，估计是角色太多，实在没地儿放了。还有寡姐的薪酬梗，确定不是后加的吗？Bad guy踩点那段笑死我了……2里最突出的居然是寡姐，Tori的歌太平，没啥发挥空间。寡姐三首歌都很好，尤其最后清唱，真能hold住场子。Portia这角色前后逻辑说不通，感觉多余，同理Meena的牛搭档。
