The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 前半部分接近完美，松弛而有呼吸。高考催生的畸形法则，反而给家庭“暂时休战”的乌托邦。社交媒介第一次在国产片里有了合理且介入，众人对于二人直播的见证，和观众参与电影形成互文，盘活沉浸感且将语境联结到当下网络时代。盛夏阳光太过耀眼，少年少女的出逃被镀上了失真的梦幻。期待中的未来并不会来，于是“触摸”奇观下，两人完成了关乎“勇敢”的成人礼。结尾泛着柔光的盛夏再度来临，娃娃脸的张子枫留起长发，扮演出的“成熟感”并不真实，却更加把“幻梦感”延续。车上一幕她的目光正视着观众，完成了对于父母、观众的反向凝视，更加加深了观众参与其中的真实感。曾经觉得吴磊帅得太过锋芒、甚至有攻击性。但是在郑宇星这个角色里，他的外表和温柔细腻的内心以一种均衡巧妙的状态容纳一体。两位主演自然清爽又干净的状态令人向往。
没想到。吴磊弟弟，还有这样的一面。可1可0，真的可以。

难为导演，不知道为啥要被骂，在审查范围内能拍出来实属难得。
很青春，我喜欢的人不喜欢我，但也和我玩了一天，我永远记得那天，两位主演不错
陈正道还是瘦死的骆驼比马大，选演员的眼光很毒辣，最后的结局不是很喜欢，那场吻戏根本没有必要，还有厦门三亚根本就是yyds，看完真想去那个音乐节嗨一场

直逼欧容，堪称“15年盛夏”。是继《过春天》《少年的你》之后最好的青春片。陈正道脑残粉。
听名字以为是啥疼痛青春片，但是一看到吴磊和张子枫的名字决定立马就打开。前面的校园片段甜齁了，嘴角不自觉的被牵引着笑容。故事里面夹杂着青春的迷茫、和父母之间的避而不谈，有些处理的还不错。
武汉看片当天，恰巧重读茨维格的《一个陌生女人来信》：单恋是场盛大的独角戏，暗恋是尘埃中的欣喜。人们忘我、纯粹、带着自我毁灭的激情，践行着早已与ta无关的爱情信仰…坦然面对，放下是抵达彼岸的解脱。你喜欢的人，ta也正好喜欢你，才是盛夏最美的未来。

全程感慨自己真是老了吧 人家高中生都是跟女生一起戴无线蓝牙耳机听歌 用电吉他 玩电音 搁以前的青春电影也就是CD机和木吉他 不过不管什么年代 青春的本质都是不会变的 都是一样的爱而不得 一样的充满遗憾
首先，宣发和正片都不是一个公司做的，预告片的制作者基本上都不会是导演自己，因为术业有专攻，宣传公司为宣传效果负责，导演一般很少干预，也不太会干预，因为拍完作品就是出品方的了。第二我不觉得这个电影炒CP有什么问题，其实这部电影讲的是两个对爱情充满懵懂的青少年的互相探索和取暖，在目前的审核体系下，导演已经非常成功的把他想触碰的题材和表达传递出去了。少年的爱情非常的脆弱，也很细腻，如风中摇摆，就算是性少数者在情窦初开的时候也是会有性向的摇摆，怀疑，这很正常，《请以你的名字呼唤我》就展现了这一段。所以，不要拿无知和头脑简单当纯情。
就算是唯心主义的性取向也很有意思啊，重点双方都是没结果的青春单恋，不用非纠结MING是男是女，同妻诈骗这话都说出来了，我说国产电影观众真是已经恐同恐到不适合看电影了。
陈辰母亲果然是一个不一样的女人，陈辰郑宇星连反驳的对策都想好了，没想到竟然是说一定不要分，这样的妈妈请给我来一百个！

第一次说起那个人的时候，我一看字幕就懂了。说话他/她听起来并无分别，但中文字幕从始至终都是她，而英文字幕一直是MING，没有出现过pronoun。看到有评论说不要纠结是男是女，主题是要表达你喜欢的人没有喜欢你，勇敢面对认识自己的成长蜕变。我相信导演可能是这样的意图，不然也不会用MING这个线索，但是真的中文字幕出来就是她，这个引导性就是让观众想成一个女生，而不是一个中性的角色，搞这么隐晦因为审查吗？
一场互相利用的单箭头恋爱。他妈的谁不想和吴磊谈恋爱？？？？？三石弟弟全方位360°无死角帅翻天！每套打扮超好看，尤其末尾头戴发带出场的造型，美到心坎去了！张子枫妹妹肤白水灵，小小年纪演技娴熟动人，相反吴磊演技虽有长进但仍需提升。没什么实质性剧情，剧情不出所料只有“恋爱”两字，电音节元素仅为提味的佐料。人物心理戏表现苍白，缺乏强力呈现。剧情细节没放开，只有男女主放飞了。一方来自父母离异家庭的尖子生，一方来自单亲家庭、独来独往的网红DJ，本该可以进行深度挖掘和展现，可惜没把握好。郑宇星的老爸好帅！！父子两人都这么帅！我最爱的歌《Something Just Like This》竟然成为了主打插曲！！！这不正是我想象中拍电影用的歌吗？郑宇星的房间里出现了Tomorrowland的海报和小马丁的海报！去电音节现场，乃我人生憧憬的一大梦想！
