The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 泪目了好多次，到最后消防员母亲得知噩耗的时候终于绷不住了，曲风虽然不是我喜欢的，但是从纽芬兰岛这个角度看911的取材非常特别且意义非凡
调度太棒了，转换的简单、自然、流畅和明确。
可能真的接受不了音乐剧吧，看得非常煎熬。看到20分钟开始边刷豆瓣边看，最后还是没坚持到结尾。不太喜欢里面的音乐和主题（哎，还是喜欢一些黑暗类主题），感觉就像看真人迪士尼，不过看得出来演员很卖力。
精彩绝伦的作品。把膝盖献给这群真正的演员。

幽默又好看。在充满恐惧与愤怒的几周里，很难得的笑了出来。
整部剧的基调是自由主义式的，或许这才是正确对抗恐怖主义的途径。用融合代替隔离，用积极代替阴郁，用好好生活代替暴力反应。这部剧是在支离破碎中开出的鲜花，远比美军践踏阿富汗这20年取得的成绩都大。
911之后真正反思外交政策的有作品吗？只有这些逃避大问题，满足点温情的东西吗？
真实事件改编，十周年的时候当着全村人表演个专场也太感人了吧，美式主旋律的正确用法。演员们一人分饰乘客和岛民，很考验基本功和调度了。
