The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 这片子简直美国动画发展史（华纳除外www），甚至可以说是美国商业娱乐电影和电视发展史，各种不同年代不同风格的动画人物汇聚一堂，从惯例的迪士尼城堡就开始玩梗，一路玩到第一段片尾字幕，neta密集到了目不暇接的程度，大概算是最近几年流行的“塞梗片”里最好看（梗最多）的一部了www甚至理直气壮毫不掩饰的搞老套剧情和缝合怪（字面）www
好笑，3d化好笑，紧急刷厕所唱happy birthday也好笑，一堆破梗也好笑（Dale 真的就是三表哥本人吧
各种欧美经典动画ip 大乱炖，只可惜对国内观众来说大部分不太熟悉

客串角色是多，但有名气的真的很少，故事也挺无聊的，不过，“丑索尼克”再就业是真没想到哈哈哈。

太疯狂了。太疯狂了。每一帧都值得暂停看细节。是IP和画风的大派对，感觉前后五年都不太能看到更疯狂的电影了，所有创作人员都几乎是喝高了在做这个卡通。剧情看着很弱智，但其实各种自黑自损拿一些好莱坞cliche在开涮。皮克斯开始拍迪士尼式的zzzq卡通时，迪士尼开始拍皮克斯式极具创造力的卡通。This movie itself is a huge meme made by a group of drunk people.
well其实这种真人+2d+3d就感觉会很creepy，但是这个真的是胡搞瞎搞阴阳怪气的，意外的很搞笑，绝对是儿童邪典哈哈哈哈哈，不过我感觉这个目标观众肯定不是儿童。里面把自家的各种恶搞，把角色杂糅进台词，还有各种杂交一样的，还有调侃对家，很皮，感觉在挨揍的边缘疯狂皮。那句meow真的逗，那个预判了你的预判的我的预判式anti-anti- cliche，还是蛮逗的。
能把这么多类型不同的动画，融合到真人世界里，真是不得不服。

三星半。玩过红白机松鼠大作战的过来报道。有版权就是任性，各种熟悉的角色悉数登场荟萃，还有不少电影梗和彩蛋，2d3d动漫真人混合的还可以接受，比隔壁猫和老鼠强不少。蒂蒂这3D整形整的挺成功，原谅我小时候一直以为他俩是一公一母。
3-…奇奇蒂蒂是我家娃很小时候看米老鼠唐老鸭的时候最喜欢的角色，我替他先审一下这个片，结论是故事好没劲，美术创意有些逗，不忍心打两星但估计娃也不太会看了……ps.松鼠大作战真的很好玩，FC前几名
